Is it legal to own a potbelly pig?

She really wants one for her birthday!!!!! But she can’t afford one.

Yes, it’s legal, but like Barbara said, they are considered livestock in some communities & are not allowed. If she can’t afford the cost of the pig, then she can’t afford to own one. The own a pig is more than the cost of it. Who will pay to feed, care for & medicate it?
You must think of these before considering a pet.
They are very expensive, they’re like having another kid.
