how to convince my parents to get me a guinea pig fast?

i always wanted a dog, but we’re not alowed to have cats or dogs in my house. so, i decided on the closest thing to a loving friendly little animal and "guinea pig" was the first thing that came to mind.the only pet i had in this house before is a bird. but in my life i’ve had cats and dogs many times. i love animals. my parents think im not reponsible enough to get a pet guinea pig. they say this because lately i havent been cleaning my room and all that stuff. im willing to do all that if it means to have my own furry friend. also, i did tons of research on guinea pigs, and know im capable oh keeping one. my parents say that in order for me to get a pet, i should b able to take care of myself first. what is the quickest way you think i can convince them im capapble? and i know i have to keep my room clean, im working on that.

THANKS FOR UR ANSERS.

BEST ANSWER GETS 10 POINTS.
also, if u are a guinea pig owner, can u tell me a little bit about ur pet? thanks! i have been researching but its good to here other peoples experiences as well.

Introducing new guinea pig to established pair?

I have two female guinea pigs who have been together happily for two years now. I will be acquiring a gorgeous little female Rex guinea pig when she is old enough to leave her mum. How do I go about introducing the new youngster to the established pair? They have an Eglu in the conservatory with quite a large sawdust-covered floor space to run around in, with various tunnels and boxes to sit in, and a tunnel leading to an outside run. Where is the best place to put the youngster to start with so that they can best get used to each other? Many thanks in advance for any advice!

My Horse nearly died he was shot and know i cant ride him because he is scared of everything even my chihuahua?

I’m 14 years of age, and my life was just perfect last July before the worst happened… I have a lovely home with a good 7 acres of land, which 5 acres we rent out, but i have a nice garden with 3 big 10f by 10ft run for my 2 rabbits and 2 guinea pigs also i have 4 lovely dogs, A tanned German Shepard and a white German Shepard and Grey (Blue) border collie and a chihuahua, i have 3 lovely friendly hamsters, a Ginger cat which has a bad back(but she better now) and one lovely 16.2 hands Dun and White Spotted Draft horse called dazzle. I look tiny on him :P And the best thing my little white fluffy Shetland i rode her everyday when i was younger but when i got to 6 i got dazzle but we still kept her. I could ride my dazzle everywhere i would ride him down the lane every day to see the horses on the other fields, I would ride her down the lanes with my chihuahua on my lap and as i got to the main rode i would put my chihuahua called Tiny on the floor on a stretchy lead and ride down the main rode with tiny next to me on the lead, dazzle was not scare of anything we went down lanes, main rodes, past dogs, past people and even past horses riding and he didn’t blink a eyelid. He was basically a perfect pony because he placed 1st in 24 shows, 2nd in 26 shows, 3rd in 10 shows and best in show 6 times also i won the horse of the year for his looks. :P But then the people we rented our land to, was shooting tins and we didn’t mind because it was fenced of but he missed the tin and shot my dazzle, i had just bathed, groomed and tacked him up i tied him to the fence while i went to get my dog and when i came out he was on the floor and ran over and see him i could tell something had happened, he was not just lying down because there was blood everywhere, he was alive and still breathing i ran to my mum and told her we payed a lot of money and got him back to health but now he is scared of bangs, traffic, dogs and runs of bucking when i go towards him with his tack. i have been to my local stable and they said he is scared of tack because i had just tacked him up, scared of bangs because the gun and traffic because they are busy but they can’t understand why he hates the dog? So i cant ride him, he is to hard for me to handle as he is a big horse and im small. I do have a new welsh section c but she is 14 hh and is not the same as dazzle, i would like to know how i could teach him to be the same old dazzle, which likes dogs, traffic, TACK and basically me… Please note im only 14 and i have LOADS of confidence around horses but nothing too hard please and also if there is any good websites and also note that the reason i want to be able to ride him again because since i was 6 and i was 13 then, i had rode him every day since… down lanes, main roads with my dog and i have tacked a horse for like all my life. PLEASE HELP! I MISS HIM AND WANT HIM BACK.
also im not pushing him because my vet told me to teach him again plus if you cant be bothered to read it then please just read this my horse was shot he is alive but basically scared of everything

Guinea Pig care… HELP!!?

I just got 2 guinea pigs from my dads friend… I’m not sure how old they are but they are 2 girls.
They’ve been here for a few hours and their under a plastic cave in their cage scrunched up and wont leave. They "wheeked" a few times and I’m not sure if I should open the cage and touch them or just let them be…

Any tips or advice to make them feel as comfortable as possible??!?!

How do I convince my parents to get me a guinea pig?

I’ve done tons of research on guinea pigs, and I really feel like guinea pigs are the best pet for both my family and me. However, my parents don’t agree. I’ve sat down and outlined all of the care needed for guinea pigs, where to adopt, costs, etc, as well as written up well over twenty pages on their behavior, sounds, and needs. They don’t seem to be budging much. I’m a straight A student in all honors classes, very responsible, and right now I’m stuck trying to think of more ways to convince them. There’s not any deals I can strike with them, because I’m expected to get chores done and get straight A’s without reward. Right now their two biggest concerns are:

1. I’ll get bored of it in a few months. I know I won’t get bored with them, otherwise I wouldn’t ask for one because I realize they can live for a long time, but I don’t know how to convince them otherwise. I admit I do have a short attention span, and lose interest in toys quickly, so that’s why they have this fear. However, guinea pigs are not toys, so I know I’ll love them for as long as they live.

2. What to do with them when we travel. This is one that stumps me; I’ve looked into guinea pig sitters, but couldn’t find any in the phone book. We travel a lot during summer; and my dad says my friends won’t appreciate if I drop them off at their house for a month or so (especially since I plan on building them a C&C Cage, or whatever they’re called).

Anyways, I would appreciate any suggestions for how I can convince them and overcome the above two obstacles. If they don’t give in soon, I might just have to respect their answer and acknowledge that it is their house, but I feel I can try a little bit longer before I cross the line. Thanks in advance for all the answers :D

Help me with my guinea pig care please?

Hey everyone, i recently got a guinea pig and I am a total beginner of raising guinea pigs! So far she is escaping and behaving strangely its okay coz i know its normal im giving her all the space she needs to get acquainted, anywho it has been a week and a few days since ive got her, her name is sneakers…
First of all she starts purring and then squeeling when i brush her fur in the opposite direction, first of all i thought she was purring out of happiness but then i realized she was annoyed so i stopped… Anyways i have saw a bit of improvement but not much she still freezes in my hand and even when i put her on the floor she doesnt walk she jst looks around (btw she is a 1 month old baby) is it normal for her?
Now i got her today some hay i think its timothy hay or somewhat kind but she doesnt seem to touch them she jst lays them on the floor and sleeps on top of them. What should i do?
Third, since we r having a huge heat wave im changing her water with cold one around 4 times a day and before i sleep but i want to make a drip bottle since in my country Guinea pigs r rare to find can someone gimme an idea of the mechanism of the dripping bottle so maybe i can make one from available materials?
I know you are bored of these questions but hey, im a guy and im not used to these kind of pets yet but i have grown attached to her and im caring for her good enough but i have these questions for you guys
any help is appreciate it
i thank u for giving me ur time and ur knowledge
Guys i forgot to mention that she eats her veggies normally but the hay she doesnt eat them yet, she loves her lettuce but i give her a wide variety and an occational small piece of apple once a month coz its not that good for them

My Guinea Pigs are Fighting!!!1?

Hey,

I recently got 2 guinea pigs from petsmart, and they weren’t from the same cage, they are diffrent breeds from a different littler. But, I put them torgether they did all the butsniffing and all that. For the first day they were fine. But later on, one of the piggies started to chase the other one out of the igloo, so i got 2 of everything. They both settled in at diffrent igloos. Now whenever they meet in the cage they start making those fighting noises. And the other one, Piggy, starts chasing Momo around. Sometimes Piggy makes Momo move when he wants to eat, but there are two bowls and they arent eating from the other one. When i hold both of them in my lap they rarely or make chettering noises, (They did start figting when one my brother put them on his stomach, which was quite painful for him, they only nipped though) fight and when I put them on a neutral ground momo just follows piggy around. But, they chase each other in cage, they also sometimes nip each other and make chattering noises. Momo bites me sometimes when I hold him, maybe because hes scared. But, piggy wont let Momo go in the igloo and he chases Momo around the cage sometimes. My cage , i think is big enough, it’s a 42 1/2 inches long and 18 inches wide, its a extra large bunny cage. Also, sometimes Piggy will start chattering his teeth at Momo when he is eating hay, when momo backs off piggy starts eating hay. Sometimes piggy will just randomly start chattering at Momo and chase him around. They nip each other alot.

What should I do, HELP!!!!
I dont want to give them back, they are starting to get used to me….
I’ve read that they will get along better if u give them a bath, which I will when I get my C& C cage.
I DONT WANT TO SEPARATE THEM!!!!!
My parents said I have 3 weeks to make sure they along or other wise I might have to return one of them…..PLEASE HURRY, IVE GIVE U 10 POINTS and best answer if u could help me with this.

Is a Guinea Pig or Rabbit harder to care for?

I’m 13 and can be mature at times :) haha. Lol, I’ve been doing research on rabbit for a few months and read they’re not to hard to care for. Is this true?I’ve always liked rabbits more than guinea pigs but don’t know how hard they’re to care for. My mom owned a guinea pig when I was very young and said it was horrible. Some people say guinea pigs love cuddling while others say they are timid and shy even if you play with them….

So in your opinion or personal experience which is harder to care for?!

Thanks! :)
Add:::; I would litter train the rabbit so pooping and peeing everywhere wouldn’t be a huge issue :)
Lol, and the rabbit itself does not smell. It is their urine which smells. If you clean the litter out everyday/other day it doesn’t smell as bad.
