how to convince my parents to get me a guinea pig fast?

i always wanted a dog, but we’re not alowed to have cats or dogs in my house. so, i decided on the closest thing to a loving friendly little animal and "guinea pig" was the first thing that came to mind.the only pet i had in this house before is a bird. but in my life i’ve had cats and dogs many times. i love animals. my parents think im not reponsible enough to get a pet guinea pig. they say this because lately i havent been cleaning my room and all that stuff. im willing to do all that if it means to have my own furry friend. also, i did tons of research on guinea pigs, and know im capable oh keeping one. my parents say that in order for me to get a pet, i should b able to take care of myself first. what is the quickest way you think i can convince them im capapble? and i know i have to keep my room clean, im working on that.

THANKS FOR UR ANSERS.

BEST ANSWER GETS 10 POINTS.
also, if u are a guinea pig owner, can u tell me a little bit about ur pet? thanks! i have been researching but its good to here other peoples experiences as well.
yes, i did know i have to get 2 guinea pigs. that was one of the things i researched..

I really need help . . . I'm emotionally and mentally hurt? (So is my dog!) Help! 10 points to best answer!?

Sorry it’s so long!

Okay, so my brother-in-law "rescued" a dog, Spenser. But . . . My brother-in-law never took care of Spenser. So my parents and I took Spenser in. Then my brother-in-law stopped working. As soon as his little baby girl came along. Apparently, to him it’s perfectly fine for a little girl to live in apartments all her life. Cheap apartments at that. So then my brother-in-law decided that Spenser needs to move to Florida where we’ll never see Spenser again! And only a month and one day after my guinea pig passed away! Spenser’s half chuahuah and half dachsund, and today when I saw a dachsund, I started bawling and worked up a major migraine and a fever from crying so much. And later today I just collapsed on the floor, crumpled up and cried. And my dog, Mar Bellana, loved to play with Spenser, and she refuses to eat or drink much at all, because she’s depressed! And last night when my cousin tried to pet Mar Bellana, I attacked him and said "You’ll act like she’s your’s then rip her away from me like the souless monster my brother-in-law is!" And I started crying. I now have thoughts of suicide, but I’m also way too over-protective of my animals, so I don’t try suicide, which gives me migraines, fevers, etc. I’m also going through puberty, and I’m majorly moody, which doesn’t help. At all.

And when my neice (as I mentioned earlier), Sara, came along, I became suicidal because no one paid attention to me. I choked myself in front of my parents, threatened to run away, said I’d kill myself after I killed them, etc. I was a mess. Now I love her to bits . . . I just thought I’d say that in case it mattered . . .

How do I convince my parents to get me a guinea pig?

I’ve done tons of research on guinea pigs, and I really feel like guinea pigs are the best pet for both my family and me. However, my parents don’t agree. I’ve sat down and outlined all of the care needed for guinea pigs, where to adopt, costs, etc, as well as written up well over twenty pages on their behavior, sounds, and needs. They don’t seem to be budging much. I’m a straight A student in all honors classes, very responsible, and right now I’m stuck trying to think of more ways to convince them. There’s not any deals I can strike with them, because I’m expected to get chores done and get straight A’s without reward. Right now their two biggest concerns are:

1. I’ll get bored of it in a few months. I know I won’t get bored with them, otherwise I wouldn’t ask for one because I realize they can live for a long time, but I don’t know how to convince them otherwise. I admit I do have a short attention span, and lose interest in toys quickly, so that’s why they have this fear. However, guinea pigs are not toys, so I know I’ll love them for as long as they live.

2. What to do with them when we travel. This is one that stumps me; I’ve looked into guinea pig sitters, but couldn’t find any in the phone book. We travel a lot during summer; and my dad says my friends won’t appreciate if I drop them off at their house for a month or so (especially since I plan on building them a C&C Cage, or whatever they’re called).

Anyways, I would appreciate any suggestions for how I can convince them and overcome the above two obstacles. If they don’t give in soon, I might just have to respect their answer and acknowledge that it is their house, but I feel I can try a little bit longer before I cross the line. Thanks in advance for all the answers :D

My Guinea Pigs are Fighting!!!1?

Hey,

I recently got 2 guinea pigs from petsmart, and they weren’t from the same cage, they are diffrent breeds from a different littler. But, I put them torgether they did all the butsniffing and all that. For the first day they were fine. But later on, one of the piggies started to chase the other one out of the igloo, so i got 2 of everything. They both settled in at diffrent igloos. Now whenever they meet in the cage they start making those fighting noises. And the other one, Piggy, starts chasing Momo around. Sometimes Piggy makes Momo move when he wants to eat, but there are two bowls and they arent eating from the other one. When i hold both of them in my lap they rarely or make chettering noises, (They did start figting when one my brother put them on his stomach, which was quite painful for him, they only nipped though) fight and when I put them on a neutral ground momo just follows piggy around. But, they chase each other in cage, they also sometimes nip each other and make chattering noises. Momo bites me sometimes when I hold him, maybe because hes scared. But, piggy wont let Momo go in the igloo and he chases Momo around the cage sometimes. My cage , i think is big enough, it’s a 42 1/2 inches long and 18 inches wide, its a extra large bunny cage. Also, sometimes Piggy will start chattering his teeth at Momo when he is eating hay, when momo backs off piggy starts eating hay. Sometimes piggy will just randomly start chattering at Momo and chase him around. They nip each other alot.

What should I do, HELP!!!!
I dont want to give them back, they are starting to get used to me….
I’ve read that they will get along better if u give them a bath, which I will when I get my C& C cage.
I DONT WANT TO SEPARATE THEM!!!!!
My parents said I have 3 weeks to make sure they along or other wise I might have to return one of them…..PLEASE HURRY, IVE GIVE U 10 POINTS and best answer if u could help me with this.

How to show my parents that I do take care of my guinea pig?

Hi! Ok, so I have a guinea pig named Oreo. I really want to get a rabbit (not for them to play with each other) but my parents say that I don’t take care of my guinea pig! I’m not asking for advice on how to get a rabbit, that’s not what’s bugging me. Its the fact that whenever I ask for something (even if I have my own money) they say that I don’t take care of the pet that I have now and that I cant even take care of myself. Well, I do. I change my guinea pigs bedding when i should, I play with him, and I feed him/give him water/etc. Yes, I will admit that sometimes I don’t play with him everyday or give him fresh veggies every time i see him (which I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t anyway). I regret it when i don’t though! I play with him when i can. They think that anytime they see him its just because i want something. That’s not true! Also, they say that I cant take care of myself because i dont brush my hair the second i get out of the shower! WHAT!? So anyway, like i said i dont need advice just because I want the rabbit. I want to show my parents that i do take care of my guinea pig without making it too obvious, then they think that its just because i want something. If they just so happen to see my playing with him when they come into my room they go oh look, oreo’s out because Victoria wants something. It makes me so frustrated! So do you guys have any tips on what I’m doing wrong and how to fix this?!? Thanks so much! =)
Oh nd the reason that they dont see me playing with him is because I have a dog who doesnt bother him at all but sometimes scares the crap out of him so I play with him outside or in my room, not the living room. I play with him everyday! (when i say don’t I mean at least a few minutes or as much as I can)
Thanks! So any tips for getting the rabbit too…? =)

PLEASE HELP ME CONVINCE MY MOM TO LET ME ADOPT 2 GUINEA PIGS?

Ok so I made her a booklet and everything. She won’t tell what she’s thinking about and avoids all conversation about it. I have 3 cats and i have thought about ways to keep the cavies safe and I wouldn’t even lets them in the room or the cavy out without a playpen. I’m not trying to be cocky but i’m very responsible and smart, i know i am. I understand more than people my age and i am more mature than most of my peers. I love animals and appreciate every little thing people say to me. So when I want my guinea pigs this bad and have done research on them, it drives me nuts! I try to ask her about it but she tries to avoid it completely! When i had my first 2 cats my mom promised me a bird. I was so excited but later my mom asked me if i would want another cat instead. I was younger back then and a little oblivious let alone caught up in the excitement. So i agreed and we got Carly our 3rd cat. I love all of my cats and my dad’s dog dearly but i want something new, I always have. I have gone from snakes, to terrapins, sugar gliders, hamsters and finally guinea pigs. I honestly think they are the best for me. One problem she won’t let me get one! (or 2) I appreciate all my animals but i want my own responsibility so i have someone who relies on me. I want responsibility. I love animals and i want to be familiar with different animals. My parents are divorced and my dad just got a dog. One of my moms concerns is that she’ll be stuck taking care of them when im at my dads house. I know they don’t like to travel but my dad’s house is literally a block away! ( i know weird) I’m getting my own room at my dads house soon because his house is going under renovation. I would take care of them in my room. I would have a cage set up there too probably still a C&C cage but a slightly smaller one like 2×3. I really want them and i don’t want to beg for them. I feel like she won’t talk to me and she’s not doing any research. I don’t even know why she doesn’t want them! It pisses me off because its like shes given up already without doing research. Like she hears me but shes not interested enough to give it a chance. If you could help me convince her or give suggestions thanks!!

Also I have done tons of research to the point of answer other questions on here. I really think i can be a good owner

also : I will adopt from a local guinea pig and hamster rescue.

i’m not pestering my mom but she won’t talk about it at all!
Teresa Curcurio I appreciate you trying to help but i have done tons of research on guinea pigs, i’m a straight A student and im very mature. I’m fine with waiting but i just want a permission. I think waiting a month for a horse is different from waiting 6 months for guinea pigs. Thanks for trying to help but don’t question my maturity when waiting a month is a lot for you.

My sister is psycho, my bf is dumping me, and my best friend is going to hurt somebody! Please help?

Okay, so my sister was eating her dinner (like a pig as usual) when me and my bf showed up. Over dinner my boyfriend told me that he was a Justin Bieber fan. I was a little concerned but I let it go. My sister refused and she ended up throwing her steak knife in his direction (she hates Justin Bieber) so anyway my boyfriend ran away crying as she went on to destroy the house and then locked herself in the room and started talking to herself again. I found my bf and told him I was going to call the police when he told me we needed to break up. I thought it was over my sister, but he told me he was attracted to Justin Bieber. I then threw him out and called my best friend. She decided that she was going to hurt both of them and run away with me to Canada. She then busted into my house and went after my sister first, but I told her not to so she locked both of us in the closet and now I’m in a closet with my crazy twin sister and I don’t think she is going to hurt my bf, but she might emotionally scar him. Please help. We’re all 14 and my parents are on a cruise. The babbysitter Maud slept through the whole thing and I can hear her snoring.
I’m not lying!!
