I just bought my piggie today from a pet store (which i know is not reccomended but what can i do now) and I’d like advice on what to do. I’ve prepared the cage. it’s pretty bare so im gonna buy her an igloo tomorrow. But i’d just like some help because i don’t know much about how to take care of guinnea pigs.
Really, I just want to take care of her correctly and i want her to be happy and like me. She doesn’t seem to like me. How do I get her to warm up to me?
What toys should I buy her?
Should I get her a buddy?
I am just really need advice right now.

I just bought a guinea pig from a local pet store 2 days ago. Well, she was mixed in with her brother & 2 other guinea pigs from another litter. I do know that one of the guinea pigs from the other litter was a female but, not sure of the other guinea pig’s sex. Well, I was wondering if she could be pregnant? I called my vet & they said they can’t get pregnant until their 1 1/2 years old! I looked online & it said younger. I’m VERY confused. I asked the pet store how old she was & they didn’t even know how old she was.

My other question is that I have fleas in my house because I also own a dog & a cat. When I first got my kitten (Almost 3 months ago) she already had fleas. Well, it brought fleas in my house & I’ve been trying to get rid of them for that whole time now. We got a dog about 2 1/2 weeks ago & now the dog has fleas. Well, I believe their in the carpet now. I bought a "bomber" to bomb the fleas yesterday.
Well, the only problem I have with bombing is that my cat & dog have fleas. So, if I bomb the house the fleas in the house will be gone but once I bring my dog & cat back in, there will be fleas once again!

What should I do?
Another thing about Allison (My guinea pig) is that she sneezes all the time.

I bought a guinea pig before & she sneezed all the time. She ended up dying & I only had her for about 4 months. And I have NO idea why. I just came home one day & she had passed away.
Should I be worried about her sneezing?

My 8 sister and I both have been wanting a guinea pig for the longest time. Finally, my mom has agreed to let us get 2 (I’ve been reading about them and found it’s best to have 2) guinea pigs, but my dads still not very sure of the idea. He knows we’ll take care of them, since I am 13 going on 14 and my sister is getting to the age where he thinks she can be quite responsible, but he isn’t a fan of "rats" as he calls them. Is there any way I can help convince him to let us get the pigs?

Also, I’ve noticed online that many of their supplies are cheap. The guinea pigs we want are per guinea pig. I’m pretty sure they come with a pet store cage, but do we need a different and larger cage? Also, about how much (after all the supplies) do you think the cost will come to? And finally, what supplies exactly do we need?

I am planning on buying a book once my dad gives us the ok, but until then I’d like to know a few things.

Ok, I won’t get one from a petstore. There is a rescue center about an hour away. Would you say that’s a good place to get one? Its called Texas Rustlers Guinea Pig Rescue.
My dad is still thinking about it, and I hope I can convince him.

I’ve always wanted a guinea pig and I just found out about the Peruvian type. I fell in love instantly and would love to buy one. I can’t find any American breeders online and I know I’ve never seen them in a pet store. Does anyone know of a breeder, preferably one in California?

I want a live one for a pet, not for dinner, thank you, so please don’t recommend a restaurant. Haha.

ok so the pet store told me that the guinea pig was part albino what difference does it make in care if any.

My mom and i went to a pet store. We saw a sign that said we carry exotic pets. so we went in and they have the most ADORABLE potbelly pigs. small then a normal sized puppy. they are only 0 but i think it may be wierd if i had a pig. image it like this. a group of kids. one says i have a dog, another says i have a cat, another says i have a fish, and i say i have a pig? i think it may be kinda awkward.What do you think? would you get a pig?
forgot to add they dont grow much bigger than they are now. they are like teacups, but thats not what its called

I am going to be getting a guinea pig on Saturday or Sunday and I was wondering what pet store has the healthiest guinea pigs because I want them to live a long time and have no problems please list from the best pet stores to the not good pet stores!!!!

Okay so i have a happy guinea pig named gizmo and she is 2 years old and ever since we got her form the pet store she has been very picky about what she eats all she eats is the colorful food in her diet never the brown stuff so i dont what to do she is staving her self?!?!?!?!?
