Can you butcher and eat pot belly pigs?
I would like to know if you can butcher and eat pot belly pigs. They are cheaper then other pigs and being single mom of 4 little ones we need to buy cheap. Please let me know what you think. I was told that for every 40 pounds they weight you will get 10 pounds of meat or something is that true. I just need some meat for us to stock up on winter and this is what i was thinking of doing.
they said it would not be enough meat to mess with but I don’t know for sure I don’t even know if they would taste the same as other pigs do.
I am not going to do it myself there is place here by me that does it for cheap because it is a school that teaches people how to kill animals so they do it cheap because it helps teach the people how to do it.
I am not going to be doing it. I am hiring someone to butcher for me. I just needed to know if you can butcher them because I know they are smaller I just did not know for sure if it would work with them or not.
