Why do people let their cats roam and gets angry if anyone does anything!?

We have 2 dogs and 2 potbellied pigs. Our yard is fenced in and we work hard to make sure our animals don’t bother no one else. We have bird feeders and houses everywhere because we love to see all the differant birds. But cats come over our fence and kill our baby birds. We have attracted them here and someone thinks their cat can just roam and kill what we have built as our sanctuary. I finally called the law and they said if any animal got into our yard that it was legal to shoot them. I tried telling our neighbors about this and they got angry. It’s alright that their cats kill our birds but we are not suppose to kill their cat? Doesn’t make much sense to me. Only seems fair. Their cat has no right in our yard when we have worked so hard to make sure our animals don’t get in theirs. Why do people think this is alright. I don’t hate carts, but I just don’t want them in my yard. Why don’t people with cats take on more responsibility for their pet? All people don’t want them!
One thing I do control my animals. They all have been trained. The pigs are cleaned up regularly and on their side of the fence there is no one that can live on that side but we do have a privacy fence there. But their yard is cleaned regularly. Our dogs our mainly inside and if not, they are in our yard. I do not see why people think I should put out money to control others peoples animals. We have our fence put up to control ours, and it mostly keeps other peoples animals out, except for cats out of control. And if I did have a cat it would be inside or on a leash because I will not let my animals bother anyone else. They are my babies. Because it is the only responsible thing to do. And when I said I talked to someone about this it was the sheriff. So I do believe he knows the law. Like I said I have nothing against cats and maybe one day I will have one. But I will be responsible with it considering my neighbors would proubly expect me to like I do the rest of them.

pet rabbits?

We usually had 2 or three bunnies as we run a small rescue for potbellied pigs and just ended up with bunnies too. We only take females or nuetered males for obvious reasons. We only have one left as our oldest bunny passed away. Will the only bunny be happy alone ( I don’t spend much time with them) Should I get her a friend?

advise on potbellied big enclosure, IM DESPERATE!!?

I have two potbellied pigs. they are both well over 150lbs. right now they are living in my house and i need to get them outside. I tried to put them in an outside enclosure made from regular metal fencing, but ran into a problem, one of them got their tusk stuck in the weaves of the fence and couldn’t get out, i had to use large cutters to cut him free. so please, if you have any idea as to what kind of material i could use to keep them penned in with, enlighten me. also, want to add that wood won’t work because they chew right through it in no time. and thin metal also is vulnerable to their powerful teeth. please help me. thank you.

How to punish a pot bellied pig?

My potbellied pig is getting very checky…I need to know how to punish him so that I can get on with training him…Nothing I’ve tried seems to work! Also his area is getting very muddy as we’ve had a very rainy summer here(Ireland), I know its only going to get worse, do potbellied pigs mind mud? I know it sounds stupid but otherwise he just sits in his house all day…. thanks already
i dont mean punish him for his area i mean punish him for bitting me, turning things over charging at people (you no bold stuff!!) not for his house or area…Duh
