HONESTLY! Is this a good essay? TELL ME THE MISTAKES! OR WHAT I SHOULD CHANGE easy 10 points!?

Ethanol, Global Warming, N1H1

You wouldn’t think that the subjects Ethanol, Global Warming, and N1H1 connect by our school themes, but they do! These are very different topics which you may think they would not connect. But they have small details that are in common, and it makes a big difference! Ethanol, Global Warming, and N1H1 are all connected by Power, Migration and Energy. Each subject connects to their themes in their own way, staying in our triangle of our school themes.

Ethanol will be connecting to Power, Migration and Energy. So will Global Warming and Swine Flu. Swine Flu started from swine in Mexico. Global Warming is all over the world. It is happening everywhere and it needs to be stopped, and our earth needs to go green. Energy-efficient cars have come from all over the world also, but mostly coming from the U.S., and migrating all over the world.

They are all connected together by power. N1H1 has started from the pigs in Mexico; gradually spreading around the world from person to person said Suzanne Bohan, from the Contra Costa Times. President Felipe Calderon is using his power to try and stop the spreading of swine flu. In Mexico he is trying to separate the ones with swine flu, and the ones without it. Obama is using his power to take Global Warming off of his list of concerns. Yes, there are many things that are very important in our world, but Global Warming should still be a concern to our own country. The car companies are using their power to make energy-efficient cars, ones that run on ethanol, not gas. This was said in the article Study: Cars go farther on electricity than ethanol. This relates to the book we read in Language Arts, Great Expectations. This is because Estella took over Pip, just because she had the power to do so. This is just like President Felipe; he is using his power, but for good.

These subjects connect to migration because swine flu has migrated all the way from Mexico, to the U.S. In Oahu there have been flood reports. Since they are close of the ocean many researchers believe that it is because of Global Warming. The water level in rising and it will keep rising unless we go green. These people in Oahu had to migrate because they would not live in flooded areas. This affects Hawaii because In April, the state saw 1.3 percent fewer visitors than in the same month the previous year. Daily expenditures per visitor were down 14 percent from 6 per day to 0 per day. The idea of Energy- efficient cars has migrated all over the world, but mostly in the places of U.S., Japan, and Europe. China’s has become the capital of solar and wind power manufacturing, and it aims to be the main source of affordable electric cars.

Energy connects to my articles for many reasons. USA Today has mentioned that an energy resource, gas, has prices that are lower now because of swine flu. It also relates to energy because over spring break, some US colleges urged their students to avoid Mexico as a vacation destination, said at csmonitor.com. Then the swine flu, which had its center in Mexico, caused bookings to drop by 95 percent in April and May. This saves a lot of energy, because airplanes take up a lot of gas and oil. Because of energy resources, such as gas, it has polluted the earth, said Eric Draper. The physicist Freeman Dyson has noticed that there has been increased attention in the last couple of years for his doubtful thinking about global warming, in a New York Review of Books essay, a New York Times Magazine cover story, and this week an interview with Yale e360. Energy-efficient cars are just what we need for our earth. They save our limited energy resourses, and use the other sources that are renewable.

Ever thought how Ethanol, Global Warming, and N1H1 connect to each other, by themes such as Migration, Power and Energy? Well they do in their own way. “Some of the scientists, I believe, haven’t they been changing their opinion a little bit on global warming? There’s a lot of differing opinions and before we react I think it’s best to have the full accounting, full understanding of what’s taking place.” George Bush said in a presidential debate, on October 11, 2000. Richard Lugar quoted, “By furthering the use of ethanol, farmers are presented with the opportunity to produce a cash crop by collecting their agricultural wastes.” As said before, these subjects connect in our triangle of school themes!

Do you think these lyrics are funny?

I’m writing a comedy song, do you find these lyrics funny?

If I were President
There would be some changes
First of all all the Asians
Would be locked into cages
I’m not racist, they just ruin everything
Plus then all of our dogs and cats would be safe

We would cut the mullets off of rednecks heads
Even though everyone knows a rednecks is better off dead
From the south with no teeth in their mouth
They’ll be forced to work in fast food
And get the ironing board out of their lawn

We would take over Mexico
Now you pick fruit for me Chavez and Paco
I knew a Mexican once who peed on a guys head
His name was Caesar and there was no meaner beaner

If I were President this would would be different
Trade your children’s freedom for their college education.
You can bet that I’d legalize public masturation
Only cause I want you all to see
That I’ve got a big d***

If I were President this would be different
I will protect the sanctity of marriage
Tell those farmers they can’t marry donkeys
Those asses don’t like it in the a**
Although they don’t squeel like the pigs do

But then there is swine flu and an animal STD in it for you

We’ve got a major problem with old people here
Why do they always take up all of the rocking chairs
And not to mention they’re really weak
But the jokes on them, they are dying as speak
We should make them work like Chinese sweat shops
With no break, no pay, we’d pull out all the stops
They’re always whining about little things
Like lukyemia. Sorry if anyone’s family has ever died of lukymeia.
I only apologized to get elected.

If I were president this would would be different
We’re not gonna put up with any other countries s***

Canada we’re gonna nuke your a**
Look out China this nuke is coming at you fast
France, you probably deserve it the most
You pansy sons of witches although you’ve got fantastic french toast
Australia, we’re gonna get you, round up all the kangeroos cause I’m gonna nuke them too

If I were President
I’d probably be impeached.
For those of you saying that it’s racist or what not, I know it is. That’s the comedy in the situation. When doing comedy, a group is attacked, but I try to do it equally. You take on characters with your act. Obviously, I’m not really like the person in the song, I am a character.

Why are animals blamed for human's filthy habbits?

Animals are blamed for AIDs, Swine Flu, Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease, but really when you look into it you’ll find that the outbursts of these things are down to humans. If Cows get a disease is it because the farmers are feeding them total crap? Animals do things by Instinct, it’s not like a pig says "Hmmm I don’t think I will clean myself today", but humans who are "supposed" to be civilized do nasty stuff that causes diseases such as AIDs to become pandemics.
Oops.."Habits"

Has anyone else noticed that it is really hard to find detailed information about swine flu in New York State?

I live in New York State and they are using the term "confirmed cases." They are telling people to stay home if they feel sick, and only to go seek medical care if it gets really bad. So how do we know how far spread it really is? Then they say Americans aren’t as badly effected as Mexico, but it hasn’t been here as long as it has been there.

They are telling us that you can’t catch it from eating properly cooked pork. They don’t say if you can get it from touching raw pork and then getting the germs in our eye nose or mouth.

I have 2 kids and it seems crazy to buy something crawling with flu, cooking out the flu, then feeding it to my kids. I would rather live of canned food personally.

All my local news is saying "swine flu across the country" as if it is not more dangerous for residents of New York right now. Then I go to Canada news and they say that in New York we are taking precautions.

Febuary is national preparedness month and we were all told that we should have a few boxes of food in case of an emergency. But at the same time, most people didn’t use their money for that sort of stuff because we have been so complacent here in the U.S. Instead, as soon as they get sick, they go grocery shopping.

A lot of people I talk to aren’t worried about it because they are in an age group that is less likely to be negatively affected. But what about all the babies and elderly people in the world?

God/Mother Nature is trying to tell us something obviously. And I personally care more about my children than the 20 bucks a day that the school earns for my kids being there. I care more about my children than I care about the pork farmers who, through unethical practices, put these pigs in a position that compromised THE PIGS immune system badly enough to foster this sort of virus.

The say they will close the school if there is one confirmed case, but that takes a week of incubation and a dna test. Why not just give the kids a week off and call it good? They had no problem doing that for Febuary break then April break. Or at least make it optional for parents to keep their kids home if they want without it reflecting on absenteeism lists.

People seem to think because we are American, nothing bad can happen to us. We know the media is dramatizing everything so much that we aren’t even taking it seriously. But at the same time, the media is playing with words to tell the truth in a way that is misleading. Like talk about "confirmed cases."

Maybe if the media and the government stopped talking down to it’s citizens like we were 5 year olds, then we would stop acting like it.

is this true about the swine flu virus?

Everyone is taking the ‘Swine Flu’ completely out of proportion. This is one of the reasons for which becoming vegetarian is a choice we should all make. Becoming vegetarian is actually not hard at all, I tried it just to see how long I would last. It’s been over three months, so far. Vegetarianism not only helps mistreated and abused animals, it also lowers the demand for meat. The decrease for the need to produce meat, also declines the unhealthy farming practices used by many farmers throughout the world. This would make productivity more proactive and lower the chances of any unnecessary cruelty towards animals. Poor health habits in factories that produce meat is more common than you would think. Their main goal is to continuously keep up with the higher demands for meat, such as pork. I know you cannot contract the virus from eating pork, what I’m saying is, the virus was mutated from pig-pig to pig-human to now, human-human.This all wouldn’t have happened if, the farmers were more precautious about the meat and not worrying about the higher demands for it.

Do you think the method taken by killing all pigs in Egypt was brilliant/stupid/unnecessarily extreme?

it’s spread via human and not pigs to humans since it’s a combo of avian, human and swine viruses, so why not test the pigs/ try to kill all birds as well if that logic is what’s being followed. i read a sad article about a farmer who now lost his main source of income and he barely gets by as it is (18 mos. old child runs around w/ no shoes, there’s 0 running water in the house, and he has a diabetic mother he needs to buy meds for). No compensation was given to him, and he was actually fined for the slaughter. He can sell the meat, but how much meat can actually be frozen and aren’t butchers going to be inundated w/ pork products w/ so much flooding the market? Do you agree with this? do you think it could’ve been handled in a better way? Do you think it was/wasn’t accepted by the public to kill all the swine? shouldn’t hepatitis prevention be a little more pressing than the swine flu in egypt since the rate of hep. c and other hep infections is the highest in the world in egypt? is it because pork products are haram it was accepted as a logical idea to kill all pigs in the manner that it was done? do ppl. feel sorry for the farmers whose livelihoods were lost and all those poor pigs who weren’t infected and killed anyway without testing done? will the mosques or some sort of social assistance program help the farmers and their families since they seem to have nothing left to rely on? this is the link to the nbc story of EGYPTIAN FARMERS FORCED TO KILL SWINE HERDS http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/04/30/1915246.aspx
would like to know what you think, thanks!
zoser, is it too hard to stick to the question asked? iraq, mental illness, and many of the things you rambled on about were not even touched upon in my question. Yes, it would validate your answer in the eyes of someone who is passionate about whatever things you may want to create a soap box podium out of, but you tell me what this has to do w/ iraq? nobody caring about the millions of iraquis being murdered by the war isn’t true. what this ? may or may not have to do w/ a potential mental illness I may have that would require institutionalization as an opportunity given by egypt…tacky to make it personal. Stick to the topic, but u are welcome to respond anyway you want. it’s a free country. You just assisted in perpetuating the stereotype of egyptians having their heads buried in the sand–don’t you even care about the farmer losing his livelihood? also, obviously birds transmit a similar flu, eat nasty stuff (for your information, I’m a vegan! bravo for concluding that
the transmission recently found is reverse from human to swine http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India/H1N1-virus-now-spreading-from-humans-to-pigs/articleshow/4479712.cms
Never even mentioned a country or person not having/having a right to do something. am a western buddhist and pretty liberal. but i do believe every person has a right to ask a ? from someone and receive a civilized response minus assumptions and accusations of what someone may love (dying to eat pork, ha ha! I just appreciate living things rights to live), twisting a ? into a personal response full of assumptions about what someone who asks this ? believes, whether they should be instituionalized and whatever else. just stick to the ?. but feel free to do whatever. karma can be a b$tc#, hope to many people don’t respond and act this way with you!

What are the symptoms of swine flu? Could I have it?

Well, here’s the deal.

My neighbor is an a farmer and he doesn’t like using chemicals, so to get rid of bugs he "fertilizes" his land by pouring truckloads of pig crap on it, and it’s so bad that from spring to fall I can’t even open the window because that stench isn’t just lethal to bugs! He doesn’t give a s..t about what the law says and he will probably keep on doing that until he dies!

Now, yesterday I was fine, but today I woke up feeling awful! I was up ever since 4am and I couldn’t even move because if I had, I would had thrown up. I have a pretty serious fever which tipped at 38.8C (101.84F) and now I can keep it stable at 38.2C (100.76F). Furthermore I’m really weak and it took me 2 hours just to gather enough energy to get out of bed and eat. And like that wasn’t enough I hurt all over really bad.

Could I have swine flu or is it some other illness?

A big thank you in advance to all who answer this question.
My country hasn’t had any swine flu infections so far.
